+Born in the Federation year of 2354, or 135-Orbis-4 on the New Unity Calendar, Marita is a child who owes her existence to one word: Politics.
+Just before the time of her birth Saytisjin was in the middle of a change in leadership as the new Kesjierad was anointed in [[Seliya -Djadi- Akaela|Seliya Akaela]]. Though on the surface a fairly normal endeavor, her rise to the mantle was embroiled behind the scenes in a political battle between the very structure of the Kesjierad and the Starlight Constellate over control of the future of the Sjendari people in the galaxy. What seemed like a battle between candidates Seliya and [[Remant -Madra- Silantis|Remant "The War Prince" Silantis]] backed by different factions within the government to secure the people's support was in fact a long term covertly plotted gambit by Seliya and Remant to avoid a de facto takeover of the Constellate by the Starlight Council which sought to leverage their power by an increasingly stronger relationship with the United Federation of Planets to reshape the balance of power not just on Saytisjin but in the galaxy in a way that was known, correctly, would be largely unpopular with the populace at large.
+The gambit required an effort to make Remant seem more likely to win by allying himself with government officials, only for him to back out of consideration and divert a lot of public will to Seliya. In order to avoid a backlash and splitting of opinion, the two masterminds had to solidify public unity with proof of their goals and the trust in Seliya. As a result, they had a child together. Tabloids would call Marita the child of freedom. A salacious take to be sure, but as a result, she was famous before she ever had a say in her own life.
+Naturally, as she aged into her Creche phase and beyond, the scrutiny and pressure on her to measure up to her parentage was constant. This led to her going through several apprenticeship phases and gaining luminary titles (an equivalent to the idea of school degrees in the Federation) like it was a collection. Stress hit a high, and with that stress, she withdrew from public life for a few revs. It was around this time her father Remant became the Commander of the Astral Forces for the [[Bamat Constellate State]].
+It was eventually revealed Marita had, to much surprise, become an apprentice to none other than Lady [[Senra -Liren- Reytajn|Senra Reytajn]]. Senra was a divisive Sjendari figure because she held a high status in public life which she wielded like a weapon to her advantage, allowing her to be open about her status as a Latent Witch capable of Starsong Resonance, a status in the modern day that normally would be either hidden or highly regulated by the government for fear of what the ancient capabilities they could wield might do. Marita knowing Senra wasn't too surprising in retrospect as Senra was known to have been a prior mentor to Remant during the Kesjierad campaign before the gambit, which had caused a falling out between the two. Senra however did not pass her judgement of Remant onto his daughter, and took her in both to teach her the art of Astral Flower cultivation and exploration of Saytisj asteroid ruins, where Marita ultimately gained a Luminary title as an expeditionary and was formally registered with the [[Constellate Space Flight Association]], the biggest non-military governmental organization of the civilization.
+Eventually Marita returned to Bamat, more mature and rounded, and took up various positions using her skills on the moving colony. This included being a military attache as a therapist to Astra service members where she met [[Seran Djantis]] and her late lover Lunda Fastol. In this time she was involved in several notable incidents including the followup of the Lordria Shock event that risked the loss of the entire Bamat Constellation to a malevolent Hypermind entity, to the fallout of the Maltasi Incident that claimed the life of Lunda and sent her into mourning. She also helped pull the pieces of Seran's mind back together following the loss of the Flare Gestalt Parten-12.
