Game Rules

General Content Guidelines

This website and our Discord server are governed by a set of content rules that all members are expected to follow. Please pay close attention to this article as failing to do so may result in coaching, timeouts, or outright bans.

This content guide is not intended to be comprehensive. Moderators may remove content deemed inappropriate at any time, without notice.

We require that all content, regardless whether it is posted on the website or Discord server, generally not exceed PG-13.

Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content is never permitted, ever.

If you must drop strong language, consider placing it inside a spoiler tag.

Discord Etiquette

This section contains information specific to the Discord Server.

  • Start new RP with a description when the RP takes place, Star/Calendar date or relative to events like
    • RP takes place on Stardate 24601
    • RP takes place right after event name
    • RP takes place during #some-event-channel-name
  • Remember to end your RP with END so others know the story is complete.
  • All channels outside the OOC CHANNELS category is considered In Character.
  • Use of Tupperbox is encouraged but not required.
  • Threads can be used when RP breaks away inside an event, but try to make sure the timing between the breakout-threads and main story is consistent
  • Never create a Tupper based on someone else's Tupper.

Large Language Model Policy

The use of Large Language Models (LLM), sometimes colloquially known as Artificial Intelligence (AI), is allowed with some considerations:

  • Your writing should be your own. Stories, posts, and role play should come from your mind and creativity.
  • When leveraging LLMs for research, make sure you double-check sources for possible errors.
  • Do not feed the content of other member's works through an LLM without the other member's express permission.
  • The use of an LLM for formatting, proofing, or other technical work is permitted provided doing so does not violate any other rules.

Please be aware that recent studies and reports have linked the overuse of LLMs to cognitive decline while also being wildly inaccurate. Exercise caution when using this technology to ensure it remains a tool, not a crutch.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Purpose

Our community is committed to a diverse and inclusive environment. We believe that a variety of backgrounds and perspectives makes us stronger. This policy ensures that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

Policy Statement

We provide equal opportunities to all server members without regard to:

  • Race (including hair texture and protective hairstyles)
  • Color
  • Religion (including religious dress and grooming practices)
  • Sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and related medical conditions)
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Gender Identity or Expression
  • National Origin (including ancestry and language use restrictions)
  • Age (18 and over)
  • Disability (physical or mental)
  • Genetic Information (including family medical history)
  • Veteran or Military Status

Scope of Application

This policy applies to all community activities, formal or informal, whether in person or electronic.

Harassment and Retaliation

We strictly prohibit any form of harassment based on the protected classes listed above. Furthermore, we prohibit retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination, participates in an investigation, or opposes discriminatory practices.

Reasonable Accommodations

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for:

  • Qualified individuals with disabilities, unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship.
  • Religious beliefs and practices, unless doing so would cause more than a minimal burden on operations.

Failure to Comply

Any member who acts in a manner determined to violate the content policies may be disciplined with consequences up to and including permanent removal from the community.

Member conduct outside the scope of the community may still be grounds for disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the community moderators.
